Has your cat been to the vet, or have you been traveling without your cuddly tiger? Or do you just want to spoil your pet? With the following tips, you can make your cat purr and strengthen your relationship with your pet at the same time.
1. strengthen the relationship through play
Get your four-legged friend going with these play tips:
String and cat fishing rod chase: Take a string and pull it across the floor. The cat's inner hunting instinct is stimulated and it chases after the string.
Alternatively, you can also use a cat fishing rod. Many cats love this toy because it imitates prey that they would chase in the wild.
If your pet remains unimpressed, you can add sounds to animate it. Rustling, paper, squeaking and squeaking noises reinforce hunting behavior and entice the cat to chase.
Play chess: Try something completely different with your cat. Get a chess board and set it up on the floor in front of you. Place some pieces on the board, especially where your four-legged friend is sitting. The cat will then try to knock the pieces over.
You can also move the pieces back and forth and pull them away before knocking them over. Just try out what your cat reacts to.
When playing, make sure that you end the game and put the toys away.
2 Love goes through the stomach
Treat your animal companion to homemade liverwurst. Cats love liverwurst and the advantage of homemade liverwurst is that you know exactly what's in it!
Liver sausage recipe for cats
- 250 g chicken liver, turkey liver or beef liver (depending on what your cat likes)
- 1 floury potato
- 1 pinch of salt
- ½ teaspoon of herbs (parsley/marjoram/sage) or food supplements
- Water as required for cooking
Preparation:
- Cut the liver and potato into 2 cm pieces.
- Place both in a pan and cover with water. Bring the liver and potato pieces to the boil and then simmer over a low heat.
- When the liver crumbles easily and the fennel is nice and soft, you can pour off the water. However, keep a cup of the cooking water to refine the consistency of the liver sausage.
- Put the liver and potato in a bowl and add the salt and herbs. Puree everything.
- You can add a little cooking water to refine the consistency.
- Allow everything to cool and treat your pet.
Tip: You can also use pumpkin, celery or other vegetables and fruit instead of potatoes. Just try out what your four-legged friend particularly likes.
3. stroking happily
What could be nicer than cuddling with your tiger? Because cats like to cuddle too. However, there are a few places where cats particularly like to be cuddled:
- Lightly scratch between the ears
- Gently stroking up and down the neck
- Lightly scratch under the chin towards the neck
A cat pampering program like this takes some time, but it's worth it. Your four-legged friend will become closer to you and you can really enjoy your time together.
